i hope you kept it just because those kinds of nets split their tails which can become infected and kill the fish please get a soft small knit net for the fish’s sake. great fish and mad respect on the ultralight setup well done.
Cool. I jig a lot too. I catch a lot of spotted bay bass and calicos. For some reason i have never caught a Halibut while jigging. I usually use a berkley workm with a 1/2 ounce jighead. What setup do you use when jigging specifically for Halibut? I really would like to increase my chances and you wrote that you catch halibut on jigs frequently.

we catch 90 percent of our halibut on 2” berkley gulp shrimp new penny,lime tiger,moulting
