I recently purchased this plane from Sylvain. I have not flown it yet but I it runs and looks great. I just hope I can handle it like jo did in this video.
That’s a really amazing climb for only 37 hp. Just curious, what weight/ height are you? I understand you have to be of a smaller statute to fit in these birds.
I have an EROS Mini-max 1650 which I’ve flown for 10 years. If I build another one (probably), I’ll do the Hummel; looks like a great little machine. Mine will climbs like his, but the cruise is really nice with that 1/2 VW. Wood and fabric is nice…but you can’t beat a metal airplane.
Thanks for the reply. I still have yet to begin my project, far too many projects on my plate.
May decide instead to build something like the electric plane one company is producing now, or buy theirs, as it’s an ultralight as well. 2-3 hours runtime, completely silent except for wind/prop noise.
There is Oil canning Sound.
But you need to realise it is a very simple all metal plane with no sound proofing at all. Same as Zenith, Sonex…
On rough asphalt, the tail wheel is quite noisy also. But things get much more smooth and quiet (Relatively) when airborne.
But… a good pair of noise attenuating headset might be a good investment when flying such plane.
For those wondering, I now own and fly this nice little ship.
I am located in Montreal QC canada (Beloeil airport)

I’m really interested in this plane, how much did you build if for and how much would you charge to build it for someone else?

No way in hell you’re getting me to fly that without lots of training.

He lifted off in no time! Two question:
How much does one of those cost? And how do they handle? Are they maneuverable
