yes you can

It sounds like an RC helicopter with out the smoke :) but it is cool, can you do an autorotation in that thing ?

sounds like a massive chain saw!!

Well done! What did the whole set up cost ya? Im waiting for the turbine version, they are alot more reliable compared to twostrokes.

no point in wearing a helmet right

Glad to see the Mosquito demo on your blog. Here are the answers to comments/questions above. (First let me disclose we are the distributor for Mosquito helicopters).

There are 5 models in the Mosquito line (two ultralights and three experimentals) which you can purchase either as a kit or as a Readybuilt from us. They are:
Mosquito AIR (ultralight), 64hp-2cyl, $26,000 kit, $32500 ReadyBuilt
Mosquito XEL (ultralight), 64hp-2cyl, $31,000 kit, $39,500 ReadyBuilt
Mosquito XE (experimental), 64hp-2cyl, $30,000 kit, $38,500 ReadyBuilt
Mosquito XE3 (experimental), 85hp-3cyl, $35,000 kit, $43,500 ReadyBuilt
Mosquito XET (experimental), 90hp-turbine, $37,000 kit, 44,500 ReadyBuilt plus the Solar T62-2A1 engine (typically $6000-$8000)
- the surplus turbine engine must be purchased at current market price which varies with supply and demand

Detailed info is always available on our site or email us info@rotorfx.com

rchelidkrchelidk – yes it can, the Mosquito is actually exceptional at autorotations – see it on our site doing full autos and even 20+ foot hovering autos, a feat that only a handful of helicopters in the world can do.

VdzAk: No need to wait for the turbine version, it has been around and available for almost two years, see one of the latest ones in a 9 minute flight video on the Mosqutito Helicopter page on our web site http://www.rotorfx.com . Actually I should say there is no wait to order an XET but there is about a 6 month backlog in orders.

88keysinarow: Helmets are always recommended for safety
