@on1xsas god gave us the brain to invent, so we can do whatever we want.

wind took it?
January 20th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
if god wanted us to fly we would be born with wing
January 20th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
exactly.. unless the wind really picked up making a turn or something, it was his fault.

Crashes one flying machine only to be rescued by another…how ironic….and yeah, those ultralights are dangerous, just look at the statistics…or maybe it’s not the airplanes as much as the poorly trained people who fly them. If you want to fly, get the proper training.

I bet his hospital bill were 100X times cost of the ultralight, those things are not worth flying.

careful man,,, its not czechoslavakia,,hasn’t been for 18 years now,,,, its Czech Republic,,, good luck on the sport cruiser, they fly great,,, to bad they don’t have a tail wheel version. keep an eye on the nose wheel,,,, close eye,,,, also the factory has been shut down for 6 months now,,, 10 planes sitting on the floor not finished due to lack of funds, bummer,,,,

Graphic footage of why you should not do wingovers or manouvers like that so close to the ground. In fact I am guessing that that ultralight has not been approved for any manouvers like that.

It looks like a Hy tek Hurricane.

Probably not, any pilot who stayed awake during ground school would have known not to bank his plane at an eighty degree angle fifty feet off of the ground at low speed. Flying any kind of aircraft.

that is a nice airplane. I have flown four different true ultralights and now am flying a Sky Arrow from Italy, but will be flying a Sport Cruiser from Czechoslavakia as soon as owner of our rental company finishes up the negotiations. Anyway, I was just trying to make a point that ultralights are so dirty that it is a lot harder to gain speed in them. No big deal

I teach in a Czech designed, Rotax powered Skyboy II. It’s an instructional “heavy” ultralight Part 103 waived trainer. Ignorance?
Your previous comment is still ridiculous. Even to us snobs. lol
January 20th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
coming from a general aviation snob I am not surprised by your comment and your ignorance of ultralights
January 20th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
That has got to be the most ridiculous comment I have ever read.

it was terrible to watch, but glad the pilot survived. I would guess that if it had been a regular cessna or other GA plane, he would have been killed. That’s the irony of ultralights in that they just cannot get going very fast due to high drag and that is probably what saved him.

What kind of plane was this?
January 20th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
sobrevivio?

Today we salute you Mr. “It’s my 1st time flying” Ultralite Plane pilot for having more guts than brains. You’ve demonstrated that flying an oversized kite with a motor is perfectly doable. Coming down, however (I’m coming in for a crash landing) takes practice and lots of guts( Did somebody call 911). “Real men of Genius”

Bullshit, Thats not an involuntary movement. A twich or spasm would be normal with your nrck broke. SO AGAIN>>>BULLSHIT.
And as stated the sports not at fault, the dipshit pilot caused this to happen!

Hey everybody who is wondering – to avoid a repeat accident, learn to fly these tricks under instruction and practise, practise, practise at a safe height before trying them at low altitude.

77caroz, sorry to hear you’re in a wheel chair mate.
I survived a plane crash during training with a STUPID instructor who froze up and crashed. Broken Back in two places but ok now.
Flying again.
thebun, i agree with you, it was a bad mistake of the pilot.
January 20th, 2010 at 12:04 pm
The problem is NOT the hobby! It’s stupid pilots that fly beyond their own means and the capabilities of the aircraft!
That sought of maneuvre in a high drag, low intertia aircraft at that altitude is suicide and this outcome is a good reminder to the consequences of dangerous flying.
