lots of ultralights are hand started, because they don’t happen to be fitted with an electric starter

big thing is, ya GOTTA make sure the brakes are ON – if the brakes can’t be set ON, then you MUST make sure the wheels are chocked

and ya also MUST make sure the thtottle is set to LOW

if ya can’t do all of these things then you MUST have someone in the aircraft, or at least standing right alongside the cockpit to whack the magneto switches OFF if the aircraft moves one inch
