P&M Aviation's New Microlight, The Quik-R

The demonstrator has arrived at Barton Aerodrome. Mark Jackson has had P&M's new baby there for a few weeks now. Initially the wing was set up for slow flying so Mark had been unable to give it a good test. "It flies and handles very much like a Quick" Mark told me which was probably due to the way the wing had been configured and he was hoping to get Roger down from P&M to make the necessary changes.

Meeting up at Barton Aerodrome in Manchester at 7:00am on Sunday 5th April, 7 pilots flying flexwing microlights prepared for a day out to Shobdon and Caernarfon arranged by Mark Jackson Chief Flying Instructor at Mainair Microlight Centre.

2nd Crash For Prototype Skycatcher

Cessna Loses Another Prototype Skycatcher

Cessna's desires to enter into the Light Sport Aviation arena, appear to have had yet another setback after the 2nd of its prototypes was lost in El Dorado, during recent testing.

The first prototype was completely destroyed in September 2008, after the test pilot lost control and could not recover the aircraft from a spin during a test flight. Fortunately the pilot bailed out and was unharmed in the incident.
